CBECC-Res 2019 can be used to show compliance with the performance approach of the 2019 California Residential Building Energy Efficiency Standards, in effect for building permits filed before January 1, 2023.

CBECC-Res 2019.1.1 - November 26, 2019 (alternate link)
Click either link to download CBECC-Res 2019.1.1 (1574), which includes only corrections to internal HERS provider specifications. This version is required to successfully register some 2019 projects with a HERS provider. CBECC-Res 2019.1.0 was approved by the California Energy Commission on May 15, 2019. CBECC-Res 2019.1.2 - February 26, 2020 (alternate link)
Click either link to download CBECC-Res 2019.1.2 that can also be used demonstrate compliance with the 2019 Building Energy Efficiency Standards. It includes additional capabilities for modeling central heat pump water heating systems (with limited configuration inputs that match the prescriptive compliance option) for multifamily buildings, a compliance option for variable capacity heat pumps, a new photovoltaic solar access shading input, an additional flexible installation option for photovoltaic systems, and several reporting updates. This software is approved for showing compliance with the 2019 Building Energy Efficiency Standards for low rise residential buildings (effective date 1/1/2020). It includes new features such as the SMUD Neighborhood Solar Shares (NSS) Program, improved Multifamily Central Heat Pump Water Heater capabilities and new HVAC equipment types including packaged terminal heat pumps. Please note: CBECC-Res 2019 can read RIBD files generated in CBECC-Res 2013 or CBECC-Res 2016 (backwards compatible), but CBECC-Res 2013 and CBECC-Res 2016 cannot read RIBD files generated in CBECC-Res 2019 (not forwards compatible). If you are also using either 2013 or 2016 compliance software, be sure to install the programs in different directories.
